Interested in starting a career in media? Maxus Calling is an apprenticeship scheme giving you the opportunity to continue your education while also getting your career started in one of the most vibrant and exciting industries out there!
A bit about us
Maxus is still a young agency at 6 years old, with our roots firmly in digital and the newest technologies. This is what makes us different – the only agency born in the digital age, we are set apart from the competition and it is this that has attracted some of the biggest brands out there, including L’Oreal, EE, BT & Ubisoft.
We’re a global company with all the opportunity that brings, yet we celebrate our individuality – it makes us more interesting, more creative and quite simply, the best at what we do.
You can find out more about what we think, the work we do and who we do it for on our website www.maxusglobal.co.uk. You’ll also find more information about the apprenticeship scheme itself, and hear from this year’s apprentices through our blog.
So what is Maxus Calling?
A 12-15 month apprenticeship where you will work four days a week in an entry level apprentice role within the agency, working on some of our biggest clients. One day a week will also be spent in college or studying towards a Level 3 NVQ, so you’re getting the best of both worlds!
There are five apprentice roles open to you which will span many of the areas of our business:
Working on one of the two biggest brands in the agency, either L’Oréal or EE & BT, you’ll be able to work on creating some of the biggest and best campaigns in the country, working closely with your teams, other divisions in Maxus and the clients
Channels & Platforms
Two roles in the activation teams within an agency, working with media platforms and owners such as Channel 4, Facebook, Snapchat… the list is endless! You’ll be the force behind negotiating, buying and activating the campaigns and making sure everything runs smoothly
This is one of our newest divisions, and the fastest growing area in media. TED stands for Technology, Effectiveness and Data and really encompasses all of this and more. You will be involved in making our client budgets go as far as possible, analysing market trends and information, interpreting data and using new technologies to help our account teams deliver the best work possible for the client.
The scheme is tailored to you
- Training and development plan tailored to you
- A strong support team guiding you through
- GroupM training and workshops
- A dedicated assessor from our apprentice partners to monitor and help you progress with your NVQ
What (else) is in it for you…
Not only will you receive a starting salary of £17,500 and the NVQ, you’ll have access to all the great benefits that come as an employee of Maxus. These include subsidised gym membership and ski trip, £250 For Growth Fund, two hours a week for exercise time, regular agency parties and events, 26 days paid holiday over 12 months and free breakfast in the office every day.
How to apply
We want to know what it is that makes you passionate about media! We aren’t interested in what results you have, what qualifications or work experience you may have – the most important part of succeeding at Maxus comes down to who you are as a person and if you have that special something that makes a Maxus person tick. So to get an idea of this, we’d like up to 250 words on each of the below questions:
- What do you think will be the most exciting thing about working at a media agency?
- What has been your favourite advertising campaign of all time, and why?
Application Closing Date: 27th April
Please note: Visa sponsorship is not provided for this programme. We can only accept applications from candidates who are eligible to work in the UK without restrictions.
Successful applicants will be invited along to a half day group session in Central London between 1st – 25th May. There will then be a final Maxus Calling Day on 6th July at our offices in Finsbury Square, where the five apprentices will be chosen, ready to start work in September 2017.
